Electrical Systems Engineer

Stevenage

12-month contract

Paying up to 50p/h Umbrella

ARM has partnered with a large Aerospace client who is looking for an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer who will be responsible for preparing, debugging, and executing complex test sequences on flight spacecraft.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and executing spacecraft system investigations in line with Non-Conformance Review Boards
  • Designing and performing electrical and functional tests on a variety of subsystems on test benches and spacecraft.
  • Writing and executing electrical integration procedures to electrically verify and connect the equipment during the build.
  • Development and debugging of Automatic Test procedures
  • Support Spacecraft systems functional and performance tests during environmental tests
  • Use Digital Design and Manufacturing Systems to prepare and execute work instructions
  • Closeout tests with Post Test Review and Test Report

Experience required:

  • A degree in an Electrical Engineering related discipline or relevant experience in a similar role
  • Experience of writing test sequences/scripts for execution of spacecraft tests
  • Experience in test sequence writing and debugging in a bespoke language (C and Java)
  • Competent in the use of various test equipment used for electrical measurements
  • Familiar with the Windows and Linux operating systems.
