The Role

Our client is currently looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer, they are a market leading manufacturer of ambient food. The successful candidate should be well versed, and with a focus on electrical as well as being able to deal with any mechanical issues. The successful candidate should be strong in being able to troubleshoot as well being able to maintain current systems to prevent issues in future.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To perform inspections as well as maintain all electrical systems, including: control panels, motors as well as production equipment.
  • To diagnose and repair any faults, enhancing efficiency of production equipment and minimal down time.
  • To be able to work with PLCs as well as other automation systems to optimise processes.
  • To identify opportunities for improvement in equipment performance and reliability.
  • To conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate any electrical hazards.
  • To develop contingency plans for electrical system failures and to contribute to the development of emergency response procedures.

The Candidate

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field.
  • Ideally a proven track record in a similar role in food manufacturing/FMCG.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and automation technology is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
