Electrical Technician - Facilities Management - Stevenage - 42,000 Plus Overtime plus excellent benefits
This company, a National player in the FM world, require an Electrical Technician to be based at their prestigious client site in Stevenage. An outstanding opportunity to become part of truly first-rate facility and play an integral role in initiating, controlling and completing routine and reactive maintenance to an exceptional standard.
Salary: 42,000 plus overtime plus excellent benefits

Benefits: 25 Days Holiday + BH, Company Pension, Company Sick Pay, Flex Benefits Scheme.

Location: Stevenage

Hours of work: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Role Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks, providing maximum efficiency.
  • Work to defined safe systems of work, policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and concerns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, and safety standards in all work activities.
  • Tactical implementation of all 'make safe' isolation requirements & initial evidence gathering in electrical safety incidents.
  • Provides area ownership of all in scope electrical areas (HV / LV Substations, switch-rooms and apparatus).
  • Carry out necessary duties of LV and HV Authorised Person when appointed to do so.

The successful candidate:

  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in electrical discipline
  • BS7671 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Demonstrable electrical experience within a building service/Facilities Management environment.
  • Great communication, IT and literacy skills.
  • Demonstrable evidence of adherence to quality standards and compliance to regulations in a controlled / regulated environment (Preferably Pharma).
  • Willing to attain Authorised Person LV within probationary period and hold this appointment throughout employment (AP appointment is a requirement of the role and attracts an additional related payment).


Desirable

  • C&G 2391-52 Inspection & Testing.
  • HV AP or working towards with a desire to progress to this level and beyond.
