The Role:
The RF Group within the Seeker and Data Link Systems Dept is responsible for a variety of RF work including RCS prediction and measurement, Antennas, RF Testing, Radar System and Radio altimeters.
So, what will you be doing as an Electronics Engineer?
- Support various tasks including testing, component level assembly and rework.
- Ideally have exposure / bias towards RF technology across the full product life cycle.
- Good team player and willing to play your part in a high performing and welcoming team.
What are we looking for in our next Electronics Engineer?
- Ideally, degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience in electronic design, development and delivery; preferably in defence or related industry.
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Knowledge of a wide range of electronic technologies and products
- Familiar with RF circuits and components across a wide range of frequencies
- Practical skills - soldering, fault finding and RF component level assembly
- Use of RF Laboratory Test Equipment - Spectrum Analysers, VNA's, Power meters
- Ability to use CAD software such as KiCAD or ORCAD
- Good communication skills with the ability to produce high quality written reports and presentations to internal and external customers
