Job Opportunity: Senior Engineer

Salary: 55,000 - 70,000 per annum + 450-500 Car Allowance
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team on an exciting new project based in Stevenage. The project involves the construction of a steel frame industrial unit, and we need an experienced engineer with expertise in the industrial/commercial sector, earthworks, civil packages, and site management. The ideal candidate will have the necessary skills to manage key elements of the project and ensure smooth operations on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering aspects of the project, ensuring successful delivery of the steel frame industrial unit.
- Oversee earthworks and civil packages, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Manage and supervise site works, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Issue permits to break ground and manage all related documentation.
- Use CAT & Genny to locate underground utilities and avoid hazards.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure project progression.
- Ensure site safety and implement best practices across all areas of the project.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to the site team.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in the industrial/commercial sector, particularly in steel frame projects.
- Proven expertise in earthworks and civil packages.
- Must be CAT & Genny trained and able to use this equipment proficiently.
- Experience issuing permits to break ground and managing related processes.
- Strong understanding of site safety and construction regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering or construction.
