Deliver strategies and solutions for risk reduction in the defence sector as an Electromagnetic Compatibility Project Engineer. This leading defence company that produces military weapons systems will reward your hard work significantly with bonuses, annual salary reviews and paid overtime among other benefits.You will support programmes throughout their product lifecycles from concept through to disposal.What’s Involved?• Establish, progress and deliver the risk reduction and qualification strategies that will bring a product into service; ensure the correct requirements are implemented, that designs are robust and the strategy is accurate.• Write Environmental Requirement Specifications (ERS's) and subsequent documentation including EMC Control Plans, Proving Plans, Proving Requirements and Proving Instructions in support of product development and qualification, reviewing and testing hardware.About You:• Higher education or experience within subject fields: Electronics, Electrical, Physics, EMC etc.• An understanding of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and design principles.• Ability to work to defined deadlines and within budget limits.• Knowledge in the application of a military EMC standard to system, sub-system or equipment level is highly desirable (e.g. Defence Standard 59-41 / 59-411, AECTP500, Mil-Std-461, RTCA DO160 / EUROCAE ED-14).Key Information: • Role: Electromagnetic Compatibility Project Engineer• Salary: Circa £55,000 Plus Bonus and Benefits• Location(s): Bristol OR Stevenage – Hybrid Working (2-3 Days On-Site Per Week)• Eligibility: Must Hold British Citizenship Due to Security Requirements (See More Below)Key Words:Electromagnetic compatibility, engineering design, military EMC standards, defence Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to British or Dual Citizens.
