Position Available: Environmental Project Engineer

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: Up to £55,000 (DoE) + Bonus

Experience needed: We are looking for an Environmental Project Engineer with expertise in environmental engineering, test methodologies, and data analysis. You should have experience in planning, managing, and delivering engineering work packages, with a strong understanding of environmental testing processes, including vibration, shock, temperature, and humidity assessments.

About the role:

As an Environmental Project Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our products meet the highest environmental and engineering standards throughout their lifecycle. From concept definition and design support to formal qualification and in-service support, your expertise will be crucial in defining requirements, developing proving methodologies, and overseeing environmental testing. You'll have the opportunity to apply technical knowledge while working closely with senior stakeholders, influencing key design and development decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage environmental engineering requirements throughout the product lifecycle
  • Develop and implement proving methodologies for environmental testing
  • Analyse test data, conduct simulations, and support mechanical, climatic, and fatigue testing
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including Project Heads and Chief Engineers
  • Manage and deliver small to medium-sized engineering work packages efficiently

What we need from you:

  • Experience in environmental engineering within a complex engineering environment such as defence, aerospace, automotive etc…
  • Strong knowledge of vibration, shock, temperature, and humidity environments
  • Understanding of environmental testing processes, including test measurements and instrumentation
  • Experience of planning, managing and delivering work packages
