Are you a results-driven sales professional with a passion for the conference and events industry? Do you have a proven track record in securing new business and developing strong client relationships?

Our client is seeking a dynamic Conference Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and expand their conference portfolio. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships and securing conference and corporate event bookings.

You will be joining a join a prestigious establishment in the beautiful Hertfordshire area on a part time basis of 25 hours spread over 3 fully days but will consider it over 5 days.

Key Responsibilities for this Business Development Manager Role:

  • Managing event bookings for a diverse range of functions, including conferences, team-building activities, private parties and weddings
  • Managing telephone and email enquiries while proactively generating new and repeat business leads, converting enquiries into confirmed bookings
  • Delivering an outstanding customer experience while actively promoting the venue
  • Conducting venue show rounds and cross-selling where appropriate
  • Identifying and engaging potential clients through exhibitions, networking events, showcases, and familiarisation trips
  • Ensuring excellent service is provided throughout the client journey
  • Structuring pricing and packages to maximise profitability and meet revenue targets

What They’re Looking for:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the hotel, meetings, or conference industry
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
  • A genuine enthusiasm for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service
