Office-Based Mortgage Advisor - Stevenage
Salary:Up to £29,000 basic, including car allowance, financial guarantees for the first 6 months, plus pension, DIS, with OTE of £50,000 in Year 1 and £65,000 thereafter.
Overview:BDM Recruitment is excited to present an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker to work with one of the UK’s top national estate agency and mortgage broker firms. Based in a busy office in Stevenage, you will be dealing with high-value properties averaging £390,000, in a region that sells around 140 properties monthly. This position offers the chance to work with a broad client base and achieve significant earnings potential in a thriving market.
Main Duties:
This role is ideal for a skilled, proactive Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker who is fully CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) and ready to take their career to the next level within a fast-paced, successful branch. Working from the Stevenage office, part of one of Europe’s largest independent estate agency groups, you’ll handle an impressive volume of business with access to over 1,500 existing clients, along with a steady stream of new potential clients.
As a Mortgage Broker in this role, you’ll benefit from flexible working hours and work-life balance incentives once your target of writing 2-3 mortgages per month is met. The Stevenage branch is a high-activity office, providing fresh leads on a daily basis and a chance to work closely with a team of motivated negotiators.
You will be responsible for contacting both new and existing clients to review mortgage and protection policies, delivering whole-of-market advice across hundreds of mortgage products and protection options. With qualified leads consistently referred to you, this role provides a steady flow of opportunities to meet client needs with competitive mortgage products and comprehensive protection policies.
Key Skills:
As the sole Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker in the Stevenage branch, you must possess in-depth knowledge of mortgage products and an understanding of the broader financial services landscape. A full CeMAP qualification (or equivalent) is required, along with previous experience in a broking environment. Strong communication skills and a results-driven approach are essential to thrive in this fast-paced setting.
