Accounts Manager (Top 40 firm) Stevenage £55,000 to £65,000 Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be partnering with this well-known Top 40 national accounting firm with fantastic modern offices situated conveniently on the outskirts of Stevenage, that are now eager to appoint a highly skilled and experienced and qualified ACA or ACCA Accounts/Client Manager to take ownership of a client portfolio. Role Requirements - Managing a portfolio of clients (Ltd Co., sole traders and partnerships) and taking responsibility for the preparation/review of yearend statutory accounts under FRS102-1A and FRS105 and associated computations for corporation tax (CT600) returns. Undertake financial close procedures for the month end, including inter-company balance reconciliations. Production/review of management accounts and month end reconciliations, including commentary. Reviewing the completion of VAT returns, including EC Sales and Intrastat returns. Hold client meetings advising them of potential Accounting/tax implications and opportunities where required. Reviewing the work of staff members and supporting and advising where necessary. Person Requirements - ACA/ACCA qualified or with at least 4+ years' experience as a senior accountant or accounts/client manager gained working for a reputable UK based accountancy practice. Previous experience of supervising/supporting/managing junior members of staff would be desirable. Highly proficient in the use of accounting software such as CCH, IRIS, Xero, Quickbooks and Sage. Experience or an interest in media industry clients is highly desirable. Excellent communication and rapport building skills both internally and externally.
