The successful candidate will be minimum CIMA or ACCA qualified with a demonstrable and proven track record of sustained employment in a similar role.

The role will suit someone who enjoys friendly and professional work environment and someone who is able to manage multiple tasks at once, with a strong attention to detail, as well as an ability to react positively to tight deadlines and work well under pressure.

This role is office based and as such the successful candidate must be prepared and able to travel into Stevenage.

  • Production of monthly management accounts for multiple group companies
  • Oversee the daily postings of all ledgers
  • Weekly cashflow forecasting
  • Production of annual statutory accounts and tax computations for multiple entities
  • Assistance with due diligence of potential acquisition opportunities
  • Willingness to travel to group company offices if required on a pre-planned basis
  • Responsibility for statutory filings of VAT returns and Plastic Packaging Tax returns
  • Production of ad-hoc management reports and quarterly financial board pack

Skill/Experience

  • Minimum CIMA or ACCA qualified
  • Experience managing a finance team.
  • Demonstrable and proven track record of sustained employment in a similar role
  • An exceptionally high degree of numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Experienced and confident using SAGE.
  • A good communicator, skilled at getting information from a range of sources and departments.
  • Excellent time management skills and strong analytical skills.
  • Outstanding understanding of GAAP rules and regulations.
  • Thrives working both independently (a self-starter) and collaboratively.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise a workload.
  • Polite and professional phone manner. Possess flexibility and ability to effectively perform multiple functions at a time.
  • Ability to react positively to tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Maintain and develop positive business relationships with both internal and external customers.
