Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 plus bonus and other company specific benefits

Our client is a leading organisation within their sector based in Stevenage. They are seeking a Group External Reporting Manager to join their rapidly growing team. This high-profile role offers significant exposure to senior management and the opportunity to make a real impact by supporting M&A activities and transformation projects.
What you'll do:
As a Group External Reporting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the consolidation process for the group, ensuring that key information is delivered to both internal and external stakeholders in line with agreed timelines. You will be responsible for preparing timetables and instructions to ensure that all reporting deadlines are met. Your role will also involve implementing and maintaining new accounting systems, reviewing business unit performance each accounting period, and delivering ad-hoc projects aimed at continuously improving external reporting. Leading the audit process for the group will be another crucial aspect of your role.
- Manage the consolidation process for the group ensuring key information is provided to stakeholders in accordance with agreed timetables.
- Prepare timetables and instructions to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Implement and maintain new accounting systems.
- Review Business Unit performance each accounting period.
- Deliver adhoc projects to support continuous improvement of external reporting.
- Lead the audit process for the group.
- Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures.
- Support on the Group corporate simplification project.
- Deliver the Statutory accounts and reporting for the companies in a timely manner.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Group External Reporting Manager position is a qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience. You have a proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment, coupled with strong technical accounting experience. A focus on controls, processes, and continuous improvement is essential. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships will enable you to get results and challenge senior stakeholders effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial in this role. Experience of using Oracle would be advantageous but not essential.
