Based in Hertfordshire, our client is a global listed retailer who is looking for a qualified accountant to join them as International Tax Manager reporting to the Group Head of Tax. This is a hybrid working role with 2 days in the office and a full benefits package.

This job would suit an ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified accountant to be responsible for leading the international tax agenda with a particular focus on business projects - including new international routes to markets, acquisitions, and integration of acquired businesses. The role will cover opportunities across EMEA, US, Australasia and more.

This company owns many household brands with global reach and listed on the FTSE. Strong results over the last few years and a forward-thinking strategy have resulted in the need for this newly created position. This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious international tax expert to put their stamp on a global role and establish themselves in an interesting and challenging role. This role will offer significant exposure to key members of the ELT including the CFO on a regular basis.

The successful individual will be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CTA accountant with a strong track record in international tax having either worked in industry or currently in a Top 10 practice looking for their first move into a global leader in Industry. This individual must have excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence and knowledge to offer advice across the business on pre and post-acquisition situations.

Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead the tax filings for overseas entities across several regions
  • Provide M&A support during due diligence including providing advice on post-deal integration
  • Provide effective tax structuring and planning support
  • Responsible for the submission of overseas tax filings (across all taxes)
  • Prepare transfer pricing calculation
  • Tax reporting for the overseas subsidiaries.
