A market leading distributor of products to manufacturing clients within the Defence, Automotive, Medical and Construction industries is looking for a Material Controller due to an increase in business. Established for 30 years, they now employ over 180 staff worldwide and have a turnover of £300million. This role is based in a clean and bright warehouse environment, where you will be working in a close-knit team. Along with a salary of £26,000 per annum, you will receive a range of benefits including a pension scheme, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown, access to an onsite gym, perkbox, virtual GP service and onsite parking. Once products have been ordered from suppliers around the world, they will then arrive in the Goods In department, and it is at this point, your role begins. As Material Controller, your duties will include:

Booking in new deliveries
Carrying out random quality checks of products received
Inspecting products following Standard Operating Procedures
Checking that the products are not counterfeit or faulty
Reporting any problems or concerns to the Team Leaders
Re-packing of products once inspected, ready for despatch
Ensuring safe working practice for self and others

Ability to work to set guidelines

Happy to work in a repetitive way
Computer literate
Good communication skills with the ability to work within a team
