Mortgage and Lending Advisor

Are you a seasoned lending professional seeking a challenging and rewarding role in commercial solutions?

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Lending Advisor to join my client’s dynamic team in Stevenage. As a Lending Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients in the commercial lending space.

Your strong background in lending and mortgage advising, combined with your exceptional organisational and time management skills, will be instrumental in your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling commercial, bridging and secured loan finance enquiries received by the company via telephone, the website or other sources.
  • Following up initial enquiries and written terms issued, to either take the enquiry through to completion or obtain feedback as to why it did not proceed.
  • To undertake collection of information as necessary to progress enquiries with the appropriate lender, including application forms, income verification and any other supporting documentation required.
  • To liaise with lenders, valuers, solicitors etc as necessary to ensure transactions complete as smoothly and quickly as possible.

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 1 year’s previous experience in a similar role.
  • Understand fundamental lending principles and possess basic mathematical skills for financial calculations.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial accounts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including an excellent and positive telephone manner.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Practical working knowledge of internet, email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Previous experience in business banking, commercial lending/broking, or regulated mortgage lending is preferred but not required.
