KM Recruitment is looking for a Trainee Residential Childcare Assessor (CYPF) to work home/field-based in Hertfordshire.
The salary for this position ranges from £28,000 for unqualified assessors to £30,000 for qualified assessors, with an excellent benefits package included.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Team Leader, Deputy, or Home Manager in a Residential Children’s Home setting.
An NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Early Years Childcare is required, along with confidence in Maths and English skills.
The role involves assessing and supporting learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships and managing their progress.

Hold or be willing to work towards an Assessor qualification (full funding and support provided)
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Team Leader, Deputy or Home Manager within a Residential Children’s Home setting.
Hold a level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare, or Early Years Childcare (or equiv/higher)
Confident with Maths and English and ideally have own GCSE’s or equivalent in Maths and English.
Driver with own vehicle

Duties include:

Assess and support a caseload of learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships up to Level 5.
Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to Level 2.
Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews and meetings are conducted.
Conduct online video meetings and training sessions with learners.
Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
Support, advise and motivate learners.
Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
