Guidant Global is partnering with a trusted Ministry of Defence collaborator, a leading global missile and defence company, to recruit a professional occupational health advisor. Th successful candidate will provide a forward-thinking, in-house service at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bristol.

As an Occupational Health Advisor, you'll be required to deliver the OH service across our UK operation, including covering any leave, which will involve travel when necessary.

What we're looking for:

A multifaceted, proactive, passionate, motivated, and hardworking occupational health professional. Driven to provide an excellent service, promoting both physical and mental wellbeing, skilled to perform:

  • NMC RN part 1, RN part 3 - SCPHN (OH) registered
  • Experienced in RGN Occupational Health - pre-placement assessments, health surveillance, case management, lifestyle screening, travel health trained, triage and responding to queries.
  • Perform effectively, independently, and time management skills.
  • Sustain Multitasks skills and confidence operating OH systems and tools.
  • Deliver good case management reports, carry out health surveillance activities and prioritise.
  • Good written, interpersonal and communication skills to work well onsite and remotely.

What you'll get to do as an Occupational Health Advisor:

The potential candidate will be responsible for undertaking health screening, travel health, health surveillance, and case management. They will deliver presentations and reports at forums and meetings, supporting the businesses in delivering the Health & Wellbeing Strategy and Campaigns. Additionally, the candidate will assist the business in meeting legislative requirements and be an integral part of an OH UK-wide team. The role involves inter-site travel and close collaboration with Human Resources and Safety team colleagues.

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our clients Security Team.

For more than 70 years, our client has been in a strong partnership with the UK military. They have accomplished numerous milestones in defence engineering and have provided essential defence capabilities to meet the requirements of the armed forces across land, sea, and air.

This role is based at their headquarters site in Stevenage which plays a key part in missiles operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links and boasts an onsite gym and coffee shop. Training and development are offered to all employees.
