Job Purpose*

Support the Service in the delivery of a high quality, evidence based, customer focused OH service across the OH function meeting business needs in all aspects of our Occupational Health service provision.

Work closely with the OH Team to achieve strategic and operational objectives for the UK OH/Health and Wellbeing function.

Ability to apply specialist knowledge in key areas of Health Surveillance and Health Capability Assessments. Ability to collaborate with OH Clinical Team regarding Health Surveillance/Health Capability outcomes and compliance and act within the policies and procedures of the service.

Actively undertaking health surveillance and health capability assessments in line with service guidance and protocols.

Work within the medical records data software system, adhering to strict processes and procedures of system data management and adhering to at all times to OHs code of confidentiality.

Assist in running on- site EHW OH Departments and the UK EHW Service Centre as per OH processes.


Key Responsibilities

Describe the key deliverables to be achieved by the post holder and the ongoing responsibilities of the role

Undertake health surveillance and health capability assessments (e.g. audiometry, spirometry, vision testing) and work with the business regarding compliance.

Generate OH metrics, supporting the OH Clinical staff in demonstrating value of the function to the business. Support data analysis of health trends to identify and monitor workplace hazards and improve employee performance and wellbeing.

Implementing and supporting projects that support the wider Health & Wellbeing/ EHS strategy within the UK. Be accountable and supportive of team working and demonstrate a collaborative approach to Health & Wellbeing/EHS projects.

Undertake project work related to role and competencies.

Work collaboratively with other members of the UK Occupational Health Service team, the wider Health & Wellbeing team and other key stakeholders.

Ownership and management of assigned health surveillance/health capability work providing clear decisions and opinions regarding outcomes and working closely with aligned OH Clinicians as determined. provide clear and concise outcome letters in accordance with data management and work instruction processes.

Maintain knowledge and mandatory training to be able to deliver a safe and effective health surveillance/health capability monitoring.
