Morgan Philips is supporting a leading Engineering business based in Hertfordshire (2 days per week in the office) to hire a knowledgeable and dedicated HR Project Manager for an immediate start on an interim basis for 7.5 months paying up to £500pd. As they expand their operations and integrate new acquisitions, they are seeking a skilled HR Project Manager to lead the HR integration projects and support their mission of fostering a cohesive work environment.

As an HR Project Manager, you will take charge of overseeing all HR projects associated with the integration of their latest acquisition. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including the Programme Manager, IT Project Manager, and the People Directors, ensuring the successful migration to Oracle systems and alignment with group standards. This role is pivotal in supporting our clients' strategic objectives and requires a blend of strong HR knowledge, project management expertise, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain comprehensive project and communication plans to support timely delivery of HR integration projects.Effectively manage project budgets, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial reporting.Coordinate project activities with cross-functional teams, establishing clear schedules and roles.Motivate and direct project teams, fostering a collaborative environment focused on shared goals.Collaborate with suppliers and secure technical resources necessary for project execution.Produce and disseminate regular project highlight reports, summarizing progress in weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly updates.Engage with relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery and integration.Identify and assess HR project risks, communicate these to key stakeholders, and incorporate them into Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans as needed.Manage project expectations and proactively escalate issues regarding deadlines, risks, and deliverables to enable timely corrective measures.Facilitate project closure by ensuring the completion of all necessary documentation and evaluations.Ensure that any changes to the project scope are properly managed through change control processes and communicated to all stakeholders. Adhere to project management methodologies throughout the HR change lifecycle.

What You'll Bring:

Sound HR Knowledge: Proven experience in leading HR projects, particularly in payroll services and Oracle environments, alongside an understanding of statutory requirements. Best Practice Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of HR and payroll processes, with prior experience in a Project Manager role being essential.Business Acumen: Understanding of the organization's business processes and the ability to leverage this insight to drive effective HR initiatives.Adaptability: Capacity to remain flexible in response to evolving business needs and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with strong interpersonal skills to influence and engage stakeholders effectively.Relationship Building: A track record of establishing and maintaining productive relationships with leaders, managers, employees, and external partners.Change Management: Experience in navigating organizational changes and leading teams through periods of transformation.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical capabilities to proactively address challenges and identify opportunities for process improvement.Results-Driven: Proven success in achieving ambitious targets and a focus on continuous process optimization and improvement.
