Reality HR is looking for an experienced HR Consultant to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.  You will ideally be based within an hour's commute of Stevenage, Hertfordshire.  In return, you will receive a competitive salary up to £70,000 per year DOE plus benefits, including a profit-related bonus.

Are you an experienced HR Consultant?  Are you looking for a role that provides a wealth of variety with continual learning and development?   If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an HR Consultant to join our growing business.

You will provide HR expertise across the whole HR spectrum to a range of clients with the key focus of providing value added HR, which is bespoke to their business, working collaboratively with Reality HR Consultants and our clients

Main duties as our HR Consultant will include:

  • Assess the culture of each client and work alongside and support them to ensure delivery of their HR agenda both strategically and operationally.
  • Identifying gaps and opportunities to deliver bespoke HR solutions to clients,
  • Take responsibility for specific client projects including grievances, disciplinary issues, TUPE and redundancy.
  • Initiate and support with People change and transformation.
  • Support senior leaders to attract, retain and develop talent, through talent acquisition and talent management plans.
  • Implement and maintain a wide range of HR policies and practices.
  • Accountable with the team of consultants, for the monthly sales targets and results
  • Support our CEO to build a strong pipeline of new business (opportunity vs target) and taking the lead and conducting new business enquiry calls or visits.
  • Provide employment law and pragmatic advice tailored to the client’s business.
  • Day to day management of members of the Advisor or HR Admin team.  To include regular 1-2-1s, compiling personal development plans and setting objectives.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience we're looking for in our HR Consultant:

  • You are likely to be working currently or previously as a Senior HR Generalist in a professional HR Consultancy or as a self-employed HR Consultant applying your significant HR knowledge, working alongside senior decision makers.   MCIPD qualified – if you are FCIPD even better!
  • Commercially focused – you will be business savvy and understand the requirement to weigh up the employment and commercial needs
  • Strong employee relations knowledge and experience.
  • An advocate for change – bringing fresh ideas to our clients
  • Confident and outgoing with effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • You will bring deep and demonstrable HR expertise, alongside the ability to shape policy and strategy.
  • Super organised with the ability to prioritise
  • We have a great team to provide support, so delegation skills are a must
  • Be a team player – and yet able to work on your own when the need arises – you will need to be comfortable in working remotely, with occasional visits to our office in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the challenges of the business
  • Based within an hour’s commute of Stevenage, Hertfordshire you will have your own transport and like getting out and about to see clients
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sharepoint
