Do you have experience in IT / Infrastructure management and wanting to step into a new position that can offer an array of incredible projects in the pipeline, as well as a superb environment to work in?

A local college group are now looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure Manager to join their team. This pivotal role will see you working closely with the Head of Digital to ensure that the clients IT solutions are aligned with both group and college objectives. You will lead the Digital Technology team, provide expert guidance and training, and be responsible for the security and efficiency of the College's IT services. Your work will directly impact the day-to-day operations of staff and students, ensuring the reliability of critical digital services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and management of technical infrastructure to meet the needs of College and Group stakeholders.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to ensure smooth digital operations.
  • Ensure the continuous operation of the College network, with strong back-up, security, and business continuity measures in place.
  • Maintain the College's IT systems and software, ensuring they are updated and secure in line with group policies.
  • Offer training and support to staff and students, helping them become self-sufficient in using IT systems.
  • Manage software deployments, non-strategic purchasing, and ensure contractors meet quality and budget requirements.
  • Proactively explore and recommend new technology solutions to enhance College services.
  • Assist with the lifecycle management of IT assets, including workstations, telephones, and AV systems.
  • Produce regular audits and reports, ensuring cost-efficiency in IT services and products.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors for equipment repair and servicing, ensuring warranty agreements are upheld.
