A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Industrial Validation Engineer to join the expanding Procurement & Supply Chain team, to assist with the technical validation of external supply chain activities.

You will be ensuring the successful delivery of parts required for full rate Production.

This opportunity requires an individual who has experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Project delivery

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and validate suppliers' capability to meet the client's requirements.
  • Support suppliers in developing robust manufacturing systems and control plans to ensure delivery of quality, cost-effective, and timely production.
  • Conduct Industrial Validation activities, including Process FMEAs, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, and Production Readiness Reviews.
  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers across multiple projects, ensuring their manufacturing capabilities align with production demands.
  • Identify and communicate manufacturing and supply chain risks, implementing improvement and mitigation plans where necessary.
  • Oversee and validate elements of manufacturing capability transfer from in-house to external suppliers.
  • Track and report validation status to senior engineers, management, and key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Experience in manufacturing and New Product Introduction (NPI), preferably within Aerospace or Defence industries.
  • Proficiency in Industrial Validation tools such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Process FMEAs, Measurement System Analysis, Process Mapping, MRL assessments, and Production Readiness Reviews.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience using improvement toolsets.
  • Analytical ability, including report generation in Excel, familiarity with SAP QM systems, and document management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
  • Willingness to travel and work effectively within a team environment.
