Title: Stock/Stores Coordinator

Salary: Dependent on experience + Shift Allowance

Working hours: Monday - Friday - Day Shift

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire

VH Talent is delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a leading and global engineering organisation to appoint a Stock/Stores Coordinator. The successful candidate will lead all Stock and Stores activities within the company and report into the Planning Lead.

The Stock/Stores Coordinator Role:

  • Ensure department projects are supported, deadlines are achieved and KPI’s are worked to
  • Check all picked items for kitting and items returned due to damages and deficiencies. Ensure Batch/Lot/Serial Numbers are recorded applicable to the deliveries received as a part of the receipt process of all goods.
  • Operate MRP system and add Goods Receipt of Materials
  • Oversee and manage all stock on-site, including physical stock checks
  • Ensure stock accuracy and investigating any anomalies
  • Oversee picking and issuing of materials to the manufacturing department in accordance with daily picking schedules.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately for the department and recoded onto the internal system
  • Provide solutions to inquiries by working collaboratively with the Purchasing Department
  • General housekeeping of the Stores area, ensuring organised, cleaned

You’ll Need:

  • Previous experience of operating in a manufacturing or engineering setting within stock management or stores environment
  • Good understanding of warehousing and distribution disciplines
  • Familiar with materials movement and stock transaction
  • Experienced of working to deadlines on multiple projects
  • Able to work collaboratively with the wider team(s) within the business
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages and experience of using MRP or similar systems
  • Able to work to Lean Principles and Continuous Improvement
