Graduate Town Planner - Stevenage
Are you a recent graduate with a passion for urban planning and development? We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Town Planner to join a highly regarded planning consultancy in Stevenage. This is the ideal position for someone looking to start their career in town planning and gain hands-on experience working with a diverse range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting senior planners in the preparation and submission of planning applications.
- Assisting with site appraisals and feasibility studies.
- Researching planning policies, local development plans, and regulations.
- Engaging in the preparation of reports and presentations for clients.
- Attending site visits and assisting with project management tasks.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate:
- A recent graduate (or soon to graduate) with a degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, or a related discipline.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and GIS software (desirable but not essential).
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in planning policies, environmental sustainability, and urban development.
