With multiple offices throughout the UK, they work on high-profile developments as well as smaller, complex proposals that benefit significantly from there planning expertise.

Position Overview:We are seeking a Senior or Principal Planner with broad planning experience and a strong commercial mindset to join our Hertfordshire office. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage diverse projects, build client relationships, and contribute to business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare written fee proposals and conduct planning history research
  • Undertake site visits, appraisals, and provide clear planning advice
  • Manage pre-application advice requests, planning applications, appeals, and submissions
  • Coordinate project teams and provide mentoring to junior staff
  • Develop client relationships and actively participate in business development initiatives
  • Represent clients at planning committee meetings and inquiries

Essential Requirements:

  • RTPI Chartered Planner or eligible for membership
  • Full UK driving license (exceptions considered)
  • Strong understanding of planning work, commercial projects, and consultancy business
