Private Client Solicitor

Reed Legal are recruiting for a Private Client Solicitor with a strong background in private client law to join our Legal 500 client's very experienced private client team in Hertfordshire. This role is ideal for solicitors who are confident handling complex matters and committed to providing exceptional client service. The Private Client Solicitor would work in one of three teams and responsibilities would depend on which team they are in, namely Trusts, Lifetime Planning and Wealth Protection and Management.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide expert legal advice on a range of private client matters including inheritance tax, estate planning, and estate administration.
  • Handle lifetime planning issues such as Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection services, and the protection of vulnerable adults.
  • Work within a dedicated trusts team to set up and administer trusts effectively.
  • Collaborate with family, corporate, property, and employment teams to offer comprehensive services to high-net-worth clients.
  • Maintain high standards of client service, in line with our client's Law Society WIQS accreditation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial advisers, banks, and other professional advisers to enhance client referrals and service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years PQE in private client law.
  • High level of technical knowledge in private client matters.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high levels of client service.
  • Enthusiastic with a can-do and positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong team player
  • Proficient IT skills, experience with a probate case management system is beneficial.
  • A private client specific accreditation or qualification such as STEP or SFE is desirable.
