Our client has an exciting opportunity for a full time (office based) Legal Secretary to join an ambitious, enthusiastic and expanding Commercial Services Business Unit. The position is integral to the smooth running of the Commercial Services Unit. You will need to be able to prioritise tasks for each unit and manage expectations with the fee earners. As Legal Secretary, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional support to our busy team, ensuring unparalleled levels of client service.

You will be working primarily with the Commercial Property, Corporate, Dispute Resolution, and Employment Teams, and will need to assist other units when necessary. You will need to be able to prioritise tasks for each unit and manage expectations with the fee earners.

You must be able to handle pressure and be able to prioritise your daily workload.

Key Responsibilities of this role:

  • Exceptional secretarial skills
  • Precise typing skills (via digital audio - Diktamen)
  • Case management experience - efficiently administer new clients' requirements by opening files and generating standard letters and documents as instructed
  • Enter accurate client data into our case management system, maintaining close attention to detail
  • Utilise a confident telephone manner to engage with existing and prospective clients
  • Ensure compliance with the firm’s money laundering requirements, including the verification of client identification
