Description
- Managing and optimising the transport network to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Leading and developing a team of planners, drivers, and operational staff.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant transport legislation, including health & safety and vehicle maintenance regulations.
- Identifying opportunities for operational improvements and implementing digital solutions to drive efficiency.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, including customers and suppliers, to enhance service delivery.
- Managing budgets and cost control measures to improve profitability.
- Using data-driven insights to refine transport strategies and enhance performance
Profile
- Proven experience in managing sub contracted hauliers
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
- A deep understanding of transport compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in digital transformation within the logistics sector is highly desirable.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and drive cost efficiencies.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.
