Position Available: Manufacturing Programme ManagerLocation: Hertfordshire (hybrid) & Dynamic Working HoursSalary: Up to £58,000 + Company Bonus & Very Good Pension PackageExperience needed: We are looking for an accomplished Programme/Project Manager with a track record of delivering complex prototype/early-stage development projects. This would ideally have been done in a complex engineering or manufacturing environment such as defence, aerospace, automotive, aviation and similar.About the roleWe are a leading defence company who are at the forefront of innovation in the industry and your work will have a direct impact on the safety and security of the UK & our allies. We are currently looking for a delivery focused Programme Manager focused on prototype and product development to lead a multi-functional team manufacturing team comprising of Engineering, Planning & Control and Operations staff to deliver prototype and development projects in a fast paced and complex environment.Due to the complexity and uniqueness of the work in our business, we can only consider candidates coming from a similar industry as defence e.g., automotive, aerospace, aviation, electronics, energy, oil & gas, robotics, telecommunications, and other complex forms of manufacturing/engineering.

What we need from you:

• Proven Operations or Programme Manager with experience in delivering complex prototype and/or development projects
• Experienced in leading multi-functional teams in a matrix or cross-functional organisation
• Skilled in managing project scope, identifying deviations, and negotiating changes
• Detail-oriented, able to identify risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation plans
• Extensive stakeholder management experience, effectively influencing customers, suppliers, and senior management
• Proactive and enthusiastic, able to prioritise strategic business needs and manage day-to-day decisions
