About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Project Manager to join their team in Stevenage. The successful candidate will provide essential support to the Programme Managers and Manufacturing Management Team, ensuring the successful delivery of manufacturing projects and contracts. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in project management, particularly within engineering or production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Assist in defining, planning, directing, and delivering large-scale manufacturing contracts throughout the product life cycle.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain key relationships with internal customers and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and accurate reporting of project progress.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of contract risk and opportunity plans, supporting business objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate project requirements to a multi-disciplinary team to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Tendering and Bidding: Play a crucial role in tendering and bidding activities to secure future business opportunities.

Role Requirements:

  • Experience: A proven track record as a Project Manager in delivering fixed-cost programmes of significant value within a matrix organisation. Experience in engineering or production environments is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: A natural communicator with the ability to build strong relationships and drive multi-functional teams to meet tight deadlines.
  • Qualifications: Relevant Project Management qualifications.
  • Project Management Skills: Proficiency in developing project plans, scheduling, budget management, resource allocation, and contract management.
  • Tool-sets: Experience with project management tools such as SAP, ARM, and Primavera P6.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of aerospace industry regulations and standards.
