JOB TITLE: General Manager/Operations Manager

COMPANY: Ecommerce Retail Brand (furniture)

CONTRACT: Permanent

SALARY: £60,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience + 10% bonus) - this is potentially flex upwards depending on experience

HOURS: 9:00am - 5.00pm

LOCATION: Hertford - must be happy to go into the office 4-5 days a week if need be

We are on the lookout for an Operations Manager who is eager to lead our day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly while driving ambitious growth plans.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:

  • Daily Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day running of the business, keeping our teams and projects on track across the UK and globally.
  • Act as the 'eyes and ears' of our founders, ensuring alignment with our strategic roadmap and keeping leadership informed.
  • Drive multiple projects forward, removing roadblocks and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Coordinate and push forward objectives for the senior leadership team - across Marketing, Ecommerce, Finance, and Operations
  • Host leadership and team meetings to maintain accountability and performance.
  • Hold the team accountable for progress, goal achievement, and maintaining high standards.
  • Collaborate with our Head of People to foster a high-performance, fun, and collaborative environment.
  • Manage key operational processes, including insurance renewals, compliance, and other essential business functions.
  • Set high standards for performance and presence, ensuring smooth operations.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Highly organised, calm, and always in control.
  • Respected Leadership - able to command authority while earning trust and buy-in from the team.
  • You don't just strategize; you make things happen!
  • E-commerce/retail experience is essential - understanding of how online brands operate and scale.
  • Action-Oriented, no ego, all action-this is about getting things done.
  • Ambitious, driven and agile
  • Friendly team player
  • Able to communicate and collaborate with the senior leadership team to drive the strategy
  • Proven ability to drive multiple projects through to completion
