Building Services Engineer
Location: Stevenage
Work Policy: Hybrid working with 2/3 days onsite (travel required to other sites in the UK)
Salary: Up to £60,000

We’re working with an award-winning, world-leading, technical & scientific engineering organisation, with sites across Europe, that have an exciting opportunity for a Building Services Engineer.
Coming from a strong MEP design background, you will assume ownership of a suite of Building Design Guides; reviewing and updating them periodically.
The Building Services Engineer role:
- Engage with domain experts to incorporate standardised engineering solutions into project conception
- Review and assess proposed deviations from the design guides
- Prepare estate major maintenance and lifecycle plan budgets
- Advise on the condition of the estate and conduct ongoing detailed assessments of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services
- Work with FM site operations managers to prioritise works based on business objectives and building conditions
- Lead the transition towards a proactive approach to asset management in line with ISO55001 principles
- Represent the FM Operations team as the ultimate recipient of any new installations
Building Services Engineer experience required:
- Proven experience in the field of Building Services Engineering; in particular Mechanical Engineering and the design and specification of Mechanical installations.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Experience in the preparation of the scope of works and performance specifications for planned maintenance and Capital works packages.
- Knowledge of asset management principles, such as ISO(phone number removed).
- Ability to efficiently implement standardised engineering solutions
- Familiarity with the assessment and implementation of energy-efficient solutions.
- Ability to act as a Senior Authorising Person with responsibility for the Mechanical Safety Rules.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- CEng and Member of CIBSE would be desirable, but not critical.
