Job: Mobile Gas EngineerLocation: This is a field-based, mobile position covering StevenageWe are looking for an experienced Mobile Gas Engineer to undertake the maintenance and repair of the Gas Plant, including fabric & basicElectricaRole:We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer.The Gas Engineer will be expected to complete works in compliance with Gas Safety Use and Installation Regulations, British Standards and Industry Codes of Practice and ensure all relevant gas certification is accurately and satisfactorily completed. From time to time, you may be expected to complete other duties such as plumbing, minor electrical work, controls and building fabric.I've left out the reporting structure and called for it to be added to suit business.Qualifications:The ideal candidate will be qualified at either City & Guilds levels 2 and 3 or NVQ level 2 and 3 in either plumbing or heating and ventilation as well as the following ACS gas modules.Non-domestic/ Commercial:COCN-1 Core commercial gas safety or CODNCO-1 Changeover from domestic to commercial.BMP-1 Gas boosters.CDGA-1 Direct fired heaters.CIGA-1 Indirect fired heating appliances and equipment.CORT-1 Overhead radiant plaque & radiant tube heaters.ICPN-1 Installation: first fix of commercial pipework.TPCP-1A Testing and purging commercial pipework TPCP-1 Testing and purging of commercial pipework > 1m3.Requirements:You must hold commercial gas qualifications.A minimum of 3 years of experience is required in a role as a commercial gas engineer.Full driving licenceThe ideal candidate would be qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in a relevant disciplinary role. You must have experience of maintenance, testing & fault-finding on a variety of equipment such as boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable).
