Mechanical Production EngineerLocation: Stevenage and OxfordType: Full-Time onsite, Inside IR35, 12-month contract

Overview:The main purpose of the Mechanical Production Engineer is to provide assembly, integration, test and Mechanical Engineering support; involving writing processes, plans and procedures for the production of Satellites and related equipment. There is also involvement in supporting hardware assembly on the Satellite systems such as; black boxes, Solar Arrays and structure panels.

Responsibilities:

Create documentation for production phases.
Lead installation of satellite appendages.
Create BOMs
Oversee unit installation activities.
Conduct quality reviews, PFMEA, and Root Cause Analysis.
Create re-work instructions and identify necessary parts and tools.

Essential Experience:

Strong mechanical skills and relevant aerospace or space experience.
Writing procedures and process control.
Experience in engineering software such as Delmia, Windchill and SAP.
Ability to work offsite and support out-of-hours work.
Experience in producing high-quality documentation.
Understanding of satellite or aerospace integration processes.
