Mechanical Production EngineerLocation: Stevenage and OxfordType: Full-Time onsite, Inside IR35, 12-month contract

Overview:The main purpose of the Mechanical Production Engineer is to provide assembly, integration, test and Mechanical Engineering support; involving writing processes, plans and procedures for the production of Satellites and related equipment. There is also involvement in supporting hardware assembly on the Satellite systems such as; black boxes, Solar Arrays and structure panels.

Responsibilities:

  • Create documentation for production phases.
  • Lead installation of satellite appendages.
  • Create BOMs
  • Oversee unit installation activities.
  • Conduct quality reviews, PFMEA, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Create re-work instructions and identify necessary parts and tools.

Essential Experience:

  • Strong mechanical skills and relevant aerospace or space experience.
  • Writing procedures and process control.
  • Experience in engineering software such as Delmia, Windchill and SAP.
  • Ability to work offsite and support out-of-hours work.
  • Experience in producing high-quality documentation.
  • Understanding of satellite or aerospace integration processes.
