Test Equipment Technical Lead
Location: Stevenage or Bristol
Contract: Permanent
We are searching for a Test Equipment Technical Lead to join our clients highly skilled and dynamic Test Equipment Design Team. Our client is a leading defence organisation. They work on projects that support the Armed Forces - Experience within this industry would be beneficial.
Due to security of the projects that you will be working on, you will need to pass a BPSS check and be a British National.
Role Requirements – Test Equipment Technical Lead
- Taking ownership and leading the development of test equipment technical design solutions.
- Responsible for leading packages of work
- Managing resourcing needs and deliveries when leading your own team
- Technical inputs to design reviews
- Schedule and cost estimates
- Regular reporting on delivery adherence and performance of projects.
The ideal candidate for the Test Equipment Technical Lead role would be:
- Skilled Hardware Design Engineers with proven experience to support the design, integration and validation of test system hardware solutions.
- Knowledge of test needs and techniques in support of product life cycle development.
- Experience of Design Proving and performance testing during development.
- Experience of Environmental and EMC testing during qualification.
- Strong document writing skills associated with TE hardware design needs.
- Experience of managing a small team and/or packages of work is highly desirable
