Commercial Finance Business Partner

A role has arisen for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join a large complex business based in Stevenage. This role offers excellent progression and hybrid working options.

Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing financial guidance and challenge to business decisions.
• Collaborate with commercial teams on budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Analyze and interpret financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support the development and implementation of commercial strategies and initiatives.
• Conduct detailed analysis of product profitability, pricing, promotions, and customer performance.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, including product launches and market expansions.
• Assess the financial impact of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
• Monitor and analyse competitor activity and market trends.
• Prepare monthly management reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls within the commercial function.
• Implement best practices in financial reporting and analysis.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a commercial finance role within the FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of financial and management accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
