The Countryside and Rights of Way Service works in partnership with private landowners, communities and other local authorities to develop and deliver projects that enhance the environment for people and wildlife. You may already have a track record in the delivery of environmental land management projects. You will already be used to consensus building to establish support for ideas, and working independently and collaboratively with a range of colleagues, professionals, partners and members of the public.

You will enjoy and have examples of proactively managing a range of projects from start to finish often with changing priorities, where your flexible approach ensures business priorities are achieved.

A full current driving licence is essential, and you will be expected to work in rural locations with difficult terrain.

You will be joining a talented and experienced land management team and will be supported in your training and development.

Not only do you get to progress your career in countryside management, whilst contributing to enhancing nature in Hertfordshire, you will be involved in projects that will make a significant difference to our environment.
