Location - Hertfordshire / Bedfordshire
Alecto Recruitment Ltd are currently seeking an experienced General Plumber and Water Hygiene Engineer to join one of our clients, who are a leading and well-established provider of Mechanical, Electrical and Building Services and with over 20 years industry experience.
You'll need to live North Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire based, therefore commutable to areas such as Letchworth, Stevenage, Luton, Royston, Biggleswade, Hitchin, Sandy etc.
Job Role:
- Working as a Mobile General Plumbing Engineer throughout Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire
- Replacing Taps / Cleaning and descaling taps
- Repairing Toilets / Replacing Toilets
- Repairing minor local blockages on toilets - anything more goes across to a drainage engineer.
- Servicing urinals - cleaning traps
- Servicing TMV's
- Servicing hot water cylinders - drain down and replace elements
- Flushing expansion vessels
- Servicing point of use hot water heaters
- Carrying out weekly flushing of water services
- Carrying out monthly hot and cold-water temperatures checks - updating water service logbooks
- Replacing radiators - occasionally
- Work is all local to Hitchin and surrounding areas
- Working in Schools / Offices / Care Homes / Cinema / Leisure
Key Skills Required:
- Proven experience as a General Plumber.
- You'll need to hold relevant qualifications in plumbing (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Hold a UK driving licence.
- Will need to be commutable to areas such as Luton, Stevenage, Letchworth, Hitchin or Biggleswade.
Package on offer:
- 35k Base Salary (potentially negotiable subject to experience)
- Company Van, for business use
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays plus your Birthday off
- Working hours Monday to Friday 8am-4pm
- Be part of a call out rota system which is 1 week in 5 (although very few callouts)
