Are you looking to join a fantastic primary school in Chorleywood as a Primary Teaching Assistant? We are recruiting for a well-managed and highly desirable 1 form entry primary school, seeking a full time teaching assistant to support the class and a small group of students.

The school believe that every child deserves the best education and support to thrive. The school are looking for a passionate and driven individual to join their team. The school have 2 vacancies, 1 working within EYFS and Key Stage One, the second role working across Key Stage Two.

As the class teaching assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of your students. Working closely with a dedicated teaching staff, you will assist in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of the schools pupils.

Role: Primary Teaching Assistant

Contract: Permanent/Full time

Start date: January 2025

Pay: £15,220 to £21,342

As a Teaching Assistant your key responsibilities will be;

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and ensuring learning objectives are met.
  • Provide 1:1 or group support to students, helping them with their academic and personal development.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that inspires children to thrive.
  • Help with classroom management and maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, keeping accurate records to track their performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications;

  • Experience working and supporting children (preferably within a school or educational setting)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to interacting with children.
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
