Job Title: Engineering Skills & Capability Lead

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience 

Location: Stevenage or Bristol (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: On average 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

This role is key to supporting the improvement projects in Engineering to allow us to develop and deliver our current and future products. 

Working within the Capability & Governance team, you will be delivering the Engineering Skills & Knowledge Strategy by identifying critical technical skills and implementing actions to develop working practices and initiatives within an international environment across our European business perimeter.  It is your job to support the delivery and co-ordination of improvement projects to enable continuous improvement.

You will have the opportunity to work with technical experts to support the delivery of strategies and solutions across Engineering, working on a wide range of projects, governing the processes to ensure delivery of the long term vision for Engineering.

What we're looking for from you:

  • We are seeking a candidate with engineering experience who has a proven track record in delivering innovative solutions while continuously developing technical skills and expertise in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • A highly motivated individual with excellent project management and organisational skills able to work in an agile technical environment on multiple projects.
  • Experience in collating and analysing data
  • A history of problem solving, implementing new ways of working and delivering solutions
  • Experience in working closely with stakeholders and engineering partners
  • A strong communicator able to collaborate with the wider business, with the ability and confidence to work autonomously across all levels in an organisation and to build relationships internationally and multi-disciplinary.
