World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit 2x Industrial Validation Engineer Subcontractors on an initial 9 month contract. You can be based either from the companies Bolton or Stevenage site (depending on your preference). The role will be 1-2 days per week onsite.This role would suit a candidate from a strong Manufacturing Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer background. An opportunity has arisen in an expanding team that is responsible for validating the external supply chain to ensure successful delivery of parts required to support Development programmes in preparation for full rate Production.This opportunity requires an individual who has experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Project delivery.Responsibilities:

* Handling a portfolio of suppliers on a day to day basis and manage the project Industrial Validation Plan* Assess & validate the supply chain and suppliers capability to meet MBDA requirements* Undertake Industrial Validation activities such as: Process FMEAs, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, Production Readiness Reviews in preparation for series production.* Identify and mitigate potential manufacturing & supply chain risks and put in place associated improvement and mitigation plans* Manage & validate elements of manufacturing capability transfer from in house to supplier.* Collaborating and supporting a multi-functional team.Skillset/experience required:

* A Manufacturing Engineering biased professional with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques, with an appreciation for project delivery/project management.* Experience of manufacturing or supplier quality in the Aerospace or Defence environments is desirable.* Capable of supporting suppliers / customers to ensure that they develop robust manufacturing systems and control plans, to enable the capability to deliver on-quality, on-time and on-cost in series production.* Ideally, the applicant will have New Product Introduction (NPI) and / or manufacturing capability transfer experience.* Proficient in Industrial Validation tools such as: Process FMEAs, Measurement System Analysis, Process Mapping, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, Production Readiness Reviews.* Excellent problem solving skills to develop and implement root cause analysis and improvement plans within Supply Chain for manufacturing system deviations.* Excellent communication skills, requiring close working with Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organisations.
