Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer (Supply Chain)

Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience

Location: Stevenage

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship is required for this role

The opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Product Assurance Engineer to join our Quality Supply Chain team, focusing on non-conformance management and audits within the missile production supply chain. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic quality team on assurance activities with our suppliers.

You will be responsible for managing product non-conformance from major equipment suppliers and facilitating the implementation of defect investigation processes to ensure effective corrective actions are taken. Additionally, you will analyze non-conformance data and provide summary reports, while identifying opportunities for improvement in the non-conformance management process and its integration within SAP.

Collaboration with internal stakeholders will be key as you help identify suppliers for surveillance planning activities and develop schedules for those activities. You will also conduct quality audits and assessments based on the surveillance plan and the suppliers' contractual quality requirements, review their corrective action progress, and perform product acceptance to minimize project risks.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Engineer with experience of quality management systems, techniques and processes especially during industrialisation and manufacturing phases.
  • Experience of working within quality supply chain environment and able to operate effectively as part of the team.
  • Auditing experience covering product and or quality system audits
  • Good knowledge of key external standards, such as EN9100 and ensure it is maintained
  • Experienced in Quality Tools & Techniques (8D, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizen, PFMEA).
  • Practical knowledge of non-conformance management process and SAP business tool an advantage,
  • Ability to travel and work in a team environment
  • Ideally qualified as a minimum to HND or HNC with experience within Engineering or Quality Assurance.
