Join a leading partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence! Our client is looking for a dedicated and experience manufacturing controller with a strong background and stores management. In this role, you'll be responsible for loading, controlling, and monitoring work packages within a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and Bolton. Ideal candidates will have proven experience and stores environments or manufacturing control.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a store's environment or manufacturing control
  • Ability to follow instructions and willing to work flexible shift patterns
  • Attention to detail and work on own with minimal supervision
  • Manual handling and ESD training
  • Lifting & Slinging training (including overhead cranes).

Desirable skills:

  • Lineside/Stores experience required to be considered (warehousing irrelevant)
  • PC skills, including EXCEL.
  • Forklift truck licence & medical (FLT licence required)
  • Knowledge of Kanban and two bin systems.
  • Experience with an Enterprise Planning System, e.g., SAP.

What you'll get to do as a Manufacturing Controller:

The individual has extensive experience in manufacturing control and is proficient with Enterprise Planning Systems such as SAP. They are skilled in the issuance, receipt, and management of stores and inventory within a store's environment. Their expertise includes stock control and storekeeping, with a strong emphasis on shelf-life control, which is highly essential. They are adept at loading manufacturing cells with the requisite jobs according to planned lead and cycle times to ensure compliance with manufacturing programs and delivery schedules. Additionally, they are experienced in packing, which involves the use of hand tools, as well as receiving and issuing tooling. Their capabilities also extend to kitting, which is the assembly of all necessary components for a worker to complete a task, a highly essential activity. Furthermore, they are proficient in the loading and unloading of lorries.
