Production Controller Stevenage - 12 month contract £19.43ph PAYE£26.00ph Umbrella This company is seeking a talented Production Controller to join their dynamic team in Stevenage. As a Production Controller, you will be responsible for the efficient management and expedition of procured and manufactured items, as well as controlling the flow of work required to meet the delivery of products to cost and schedule.The Production Controller's primary responsibilities will include:- Loading customer order demand into production and managing work orders in SAP- Ensuring kits/work orders are released to Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) on time and expediting them to meet planned delivery dates- Inputting into and maintaining production schedules- Managing material supply issues to avoid potential delivery slippages- Ensuring full traceability for all products issued to manufacturing- Reporting any delays, investigating impact/recovery, and ensuring projects are charged for respective changes to schedule/effort- Effectively reporting product status to core project and manufacturing teams- Analysing and reporting potential impacts derived from 'Shortage Risk Reports'- Investigating customer orders on receipt and notifying project management of any non-conformance- Advising on kit issues/anomalies with the shop floor and ensuring kits have been picked as identified on the 'kit shortage report'To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:- Demonstrated working knowledge of MRP- Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling- A planning/scheduling qualification- Experience using an MRP/ERP system, such as SAP- Experience in planning and schedule management- Experience in a high-pressure, results-driven environment in industries such as aerospace, defense, communications, manufacturing, production, or ITThis is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative company, where you can make a significant impact on the production process and contribute to the delivery of products.To apply, please submit your CV outlining your relevant qualifications and experience.
