Role: Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Stevenage Area (with travel to London)Salary: £55,000 to £68,000 + car & packageAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor with a growing pipeline of projects across North London, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will join a growing team that provides a wide range of services including ground engineering, building, design and engineering, electrical and mechanical services and utility connections. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the business, working on large, exciting projects across the transportation, water and energy sectors.Some of the Senior Quantity Surveyors responsibilities will include:

  • Management and preparation of internal commercial reports as required
  • Management of the Cost Reports to the clients team with all relevant contractual documentation
  • Identify and manage key risks and opportunities across a small portfolio of projects
  • Ensure all subcontract & material procurement schedules are prepared and updated
  • Draft subcontract orders including all PSA's
  • Provide support to junior members of the commercial team
  • Support the Managing QS and Commercial Manager where possible

Senior Quantity Surveyors considering these opportunities must have experience in the following areas:

  • A solid understanding of the NEC suite of contracts
  • Previous experience working on civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or mechanical and electrical projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Driven, ambitious and keen to develop
