We are partnering with a forward-thinking NHS Trust to strengthen its Programme Management Office (PMO) with an experienced Programme Manager. You’ll play a key role in leading high-impact transformation programmes that drive efficiency, cost savings, and process improvements across the organisation. This is an initial 6 month temporary contract with possible extension.

?? As a Programme Manager, you will:

  • Lead complex, large-scale change programmes that align with the Trust’s strategic objectives.
  • Oversee governance, risk management, and financial validation across all cost improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery and successful implementation of key programmes.
  • Provide independent challenge and scrutiny of savings plans, ensuring they are realistic and deliverable.
  • Develop and maintain a programme risk register, escalating challenges where necessary.
  • Standardise and implement best-practice project methodologies across all workstreams.
  • Work closely with finance and operational teams to track cost-saving initiatives and report progress to senior stakeholders.
  • Act as a key liaison between corporate and divisional teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration.

  • Proven experience in programme and change management, ideally within an NHS or public sector setting.
  • Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, and financial oversight in large-scale projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience working within a PMO function and ensuring structured oversight of cost-saving initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
