Our client, recognized as one of the top 25 fastest growing UK companies in 2022, is seeking an Accounts Assistant in Stevenage.
The role offers a salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience, along with additional benefits.
Key responsibilities include processing supplier invoices, cashbook reconciliations, payroll journals, and financial reporting.
Candidates should have accounts payable experience and an AAT or similar accounting qualification, along with intermediate Excel skills.
Experience with Sage 50 or Dynamics is desirable but not mandatory.

Role: Accounts Assistant

Location: Stevenage

Salary: Up to30k (DOE) + benefits

Responsibilities:

Supplier invoices approval & processing, as well as statements and reconciliation
Setting up Supplier payment runs & resolving Supplier queries
Cashbook reconciliations
Credit card statements
Payroll Journals, employee expenses approval and processing

Supporting other finance projects such as Dynamics
Credit control cover as needed
VAT Quarterly prep and PPT Quarterly prep
Financial Reporting;
Invoice finance reconciliation and submissions
- Sage backups as needed
- Gross margin Double check
- Overhead analysis, spend Vs Budget
- Stock analysis
- Accruals schedules
- Prepayment schedule

Experiences:

Accounts payable experience
AAT or similar accounting qualification
Stock accounting experience
Intermediate Excel skills to include;
- Pivot tables,Lookup formulas &Sumifs
- Index and match
- Ability to create and track formulas

Desirable experiences:

Sage 50 orDynamics experience
