Quantum Scholars are working alongside a dynamic secondary school based in Hertfordshire who are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join them in January 2025! This is an exciting opportunity to engage students in creative problem-solving and hands-on learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Design Technology for Key Stages 3 and 4, focusing on areas such as product design, engineering, textiles, and electronics.
  • Student Engagement: Inspire students to explore their creativity and develop technical skills through practical projects and theoretical knowledge.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support learning and improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other faculty members to integrate technology across the curriculum and contribute to interdisciplinary projects.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and encourages all students to participate.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry trends and educational best practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Must be a qualified teacher.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching Design Technology at the secondary level is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment processes in Design Technology.
