When you join Fortis Care as a Support Worker, you will provide care and support to a range of individuals living with learning disabilities, mental health, autism and other complex behavioural, physical, sensory and health needs. We need committed staff to support them in reaching their full potential - and of course, we’ll make sure that you reach yours.
As a Support Worker, you will be expected to actively take part in the service and the people we support who have Learning disabilities, Autism and Sensory issues.
You will drive our allocated Service Users vehicles with due consideration for people’s safety and comfort, following all the relevant health & safety policies & procedures.

Duties will include supporting people with:
- Daily living skills
- Personal care where needed
- Social inclusion
- Activities
- Promoting independence in all areas of home life and work-life
- Managing finances
We train all of our staff to provide the best possible care to the individuals we support via the Care Certificate and QCF Social Care qualification. Our working hours are incredibly flexible; whether you have some previous care experience or not, we give all of our Support Workers comprehensive training.
Essential requirements:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible Working Hours
- Have 2 satisfactory references
- Ideally, at least 1 year of experience as a Support worker/Care assistant
- Ability to work as a team as well as individually
- Be eligible to work in the UK
- Good level of written and spoken English
- Subject to DBS & screening process
