About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Children's Senior Practitioner to join our dedicated 0-25 Disability Service. You will take the lead on complex cases, mentor and support junior team members, and champion exemplary social work practice to deliver positive outcomes for children and young adults with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Handle complex cases involving children and young adults with disabilities, ensuring high-quality support and risk management.
  • Mentorship: Guide and support less experienced social workers to enhance team capability and practice.
  • Assessments: Undertake comprehensive assessments, creating tailored support plans to meet individual needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver relationship-based practice.
  • Best Practices: Keep up to date with legislation and leading practices to inform decision-making and service delivery.
About You

Essential Requirements:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification and active registration with Social Work England.
  • Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in social work.
  • Expertise in working with children, young adults, and families within disability services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft IT packages.
  • A full UK driving licence and regular access to a vehicle.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proven ability to conduct thorough assessments and manage risks effectively.
  • Experience with relationship-based practice to support complex cases.
